NMG Sportive Trophy league table

The March newsletter comes out soon – so it’s time to stake your claims for the NMG Sportive Trophy. A quick reminder – it’s for miles logged on organised, measured distance, non-competitive events and the eventual winner will get the NMG Sportive Trophy for 2013.

Each month’s newsletter will include a league table. So each time you take part in such an event, just email a note of it to me, newseditor@vcnorwich.co.uk and you’ll be able to compare your mileage against everyone else’s.

So unless more claims are logged in the next three or four days … look who’s top:

Vicky bags a bronze

Vicky bags a bronze

Congratulations to our honorary member Vicky Williamson on her bronze in the UCI Track Worlds in Minsk. Drafted into the team late her performance was far ahead what she’d expected herself. Proud doesn’t say enough …

VC Norwich Reliability ride – 17th Feb

VC Norwich’s second (in reality the first, courtesy of the snow last month) reliability ride is coming up next weekend – 17th Feb. Lets hope the weather is kinder this time and we can enjoy a bracing ride into the North Norfolk countryside..

For an entry fee of £3.00 riders will set out from the Horsford Church Rooms on a choice of two routes. Those choosing to ride 60 miles can leave at 8.30, 9.00 or 9.30am with the 30 milers setting out at 10.00 or 10.30am.

Full details and gps files can be found on our calendar page here.

All welcome, and for those VCN members, don’t forget that there will be no club ride on the day!

Who’s topping the Sportive League for January – it could be you

The NMG Sportive Trophy is for 2014 is up for grabs … but who’s going to head the first league table for January 2013?
Yes, it’s been a bit of a sparse couple of weeks – so if you have managed to find and ride an organised, paid for, sportive, reliability, charity ride or audax in January you could top the table. Just email me details of the ride and distance: newseditor@vcnorwich.co.uk by January 31st and we’ll see who’s fastest out of the blocks.

Some of the events shown do not have full details linked yet but they give you the chance to plan your diary.

The Awards page gives you details of two new club trophies for 2012/13. Make sure you let us have your claims for these or any of the other trophies available before Jan 10th so we can prepare for the Annual Awards dinner on 2nd Feb at Caistor Hall.
