VCN Evening Rides re-start 22nd April 2014

Now that the days are getting longer, and the weather getting milder, many are keen to getBefore out again on the VCN evening rides.

All three VCN Evening Rides will start just after Easter, so that we have sufficient light to get everyone back into Norwich before dark.

1.  Tuesday Evening Training Ride:  Meet by Trowse/County Hall roundabout for 6:30pm prompt.  Open to other clubs.  Usually two groups comprising a very fast “Chaingang” and a fast training ride.  Only experienced group riders should attend.  Start 22nd April

2.  Wednesday Evening Club Ride:  Meet at the green at Cringleford to leave at 6.30 pm.    A steady ride at the pace of the slowest rider.  No one will be left behind.  All Club Members welcome.   Start 23rd April.

3.  Thursday Evening Training Ride:  Meet at the green at Cringleford to leave at 6.30 pm.   A fast training ride.  Only experienced group riders should attend.  Sometimes splits into 2 groups.  Start24th April.

NMG SPORTIVE TROPHY

Screen shot 2014-03-25 at 22.29.08

As the evenings lengthen, the competition hots up. Michael Meadows currently heads the chart with last year’s winner, Jonathan Greenway, putting in his first appearance in the table this year with two events in February propelling him into third place. Claims for the table to appear in the April newsletter now please, and all new entrants welcome … to newseditor@vcnorwich.co.uk. No other email address will do, thank you very much. Also any useful scribbles and pictures for the April newsletter welcome as well!

Just a reminder of the rules: you can claim miles for measured, organised events, non-competitive and you must be wearing club kit while taking part. We have spies! And the mileage is for the event itself, miles to and from don’t count.
